October 7, 2014 – Baltimore, Md. – Karin Lundquist, senior manager at CohnReznick, one of the leading accounting, tax, and advisory firms in the U.S., has been selected as recipient of The Daily Record's 2014 Leading Women award.

The Daily Record's Leading Women awards honor Maryland women aged 40 years or younger for the accomplishments they have made so far in their careers. A panel of business and legal professionals and a representative from The Daily Record selected the honorees based on their professional experience, community involvement, and commitment to inspiring change.

Through hard work and dedication, Karin has earned a leadership role as the youngest senior manager in CohnReznick's Baltimore office. She makes it a point to train her team to embody these same characteristics, helping many successful employees advance their careers within the Firm.

"We are thrilled to see Karin recognized for all of her accomplishments, both professionally and within the Baltimore community," said Mary Beth Norwood, Co-Managing Partner of CohnReznick's Baltimore office. " She is an inspiration to her colleagues and never stops working to serve the needs of our clients and her community. We look forward to her continued success."

Currently, Karin is working on a plan to execute a new audit training program for CohnReznick's Baltimore office. As part of this effort, Karin has participated in the company-wide "Train Your Trainer" program, which helps employees learn how to teach their peer group through adult learning techniques. Recently, Karin helped coordinate with the Firm's India office to set up an exchange program and training tools, similar to the ones in the Baltimore office.

In addition to her work at CohnReznick, Karin is dedicated to community outreach in Baltimore. As Treasurer for Paul's Place, a community outreach center in Southwest Baltimore, she works closely with the other members of the board and staff to monitor their financials, making sure they have the resources they need to serve those in need in Baltimore's Pigtown/Washington Village neighborhood.

Karin has been with CohnReznick for 10 years. Prior to joining the Firm in 2004, she was an Auditor at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business – Accounting from The Catholic University of America.

Karin will be honored along with the other Leading Women at an awards reception and dinner on December 4, 2014 in Baltimore.
