WeiserMazars LLP, a leading accounting, tax and advisory services firm, today announced that Ilene Mak and Candace Quinn have joined its New York City office as Partners in its Tax Services Practice. For more than 20 years, Ilene has provided top level corporate and partnership tax services to entities in the financial services industry, both domestic and foreign. Candace has more than 25 years of experience providing global executive compensation and benefits services to multinational and domestic corporations at the Big 4 and major law firms. The firm has also increased its tax and trusts & estates capabilities with the addition of Partner Richard J. Bloom in the company's New Jersey office.

An attorney and CPA, Ilene Mak's expertise includes preparation and review of income tax provisions for public and private companies under the provisions of U.S. GAAP and IFRS; large tax compliance engagements (both corporate and partnership) involving federal and multistate separate companies and consolidated/combined tax returns for domestic and foreign corporations and partnerships; assistance with respect to tax consulting, planning and transactional support; and representation with federal, state and local income tax examinations. Prior to joining WeiserMazars, Ilene was at Deloitte, providing tax services to banks, broker/dealers and hedge funds.

Candace L. Quinn provides tax and ERISA advisory services in the areas of global executive compensation and benefits, fiduciary standards, best practices corporate governance and internal controls to multinational and domestic business enterprises, boards of directors and prominent not-for-profit entities. She has in-depth experience in the Internal Revenue Codes (IRC) and Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) concerning the design and administration of qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, deferred compensation arrangements and health and welfare plans. Candace serves as Co-Founder and Co-President of the Women's Executive Circle of New York. Prior to joining WeiserMazars, she was a partner at a leading New York law firm and held a senior position at a Big 4 accounting firm.
